Our team was recently in Pasadena California for a great event put on by ServiceTitan. We had the opportunity to share with some of the fastest growing service contractors in the country techniques for growing revenue and streamlining processes.
One great session was centered around Appointment Confirmation. A good appointment confirmation process makes your customer more comfortable with your rep, and reminds them to be home at the appointment time slot. A great appointment confirmation process builds trust that carries through to customers taking advantage of suggested services that your technician proposes. Talk about a win-win!
This session was really neat in that ServiceTitan suggested a good way to confirm appointments, and then the service contractors in the audience took it one step further, and we took it one step further still.
Good appointment setting:
Send an email and a text message the night before the appointment, with a photo of the technician.
Good idea, ServiceTitan staff, and we really appreciate how easy this is to do in their software platform. It’s fully automated with both emails and text messages!
We can’t overstate what a difference this automation will make for your business. If you don’t have it already, have a look at ServiceTitan to save you time (and money!) on appointment confirmations.
Better appointment setting:
Send an email and a text message the night before the appointment, with a photo of the technician with your company logo showing prominently.
Great idea from an HVAC contractor out of Tennessee! This tiny tweak reinforces your brand and just makes for a better experience, one where the homeowner is more likely to trust your technician and take your technician’s suggestions to heart.
Best appointment setting:
Send an email and a text message the night before the appointment, with a photo of the technician smiling in your professionally wrapped trucks.
This is how we do it for a couple reasons: you show that your technician is a happy, pleasant person to invite into your customer’s home, and you demonstrate that your company is rock-solid with professional equipment. What a great message to convey before even entering the home!
Bottom line: You reduce no-shows and increase sales.
This is just the first of many Best of Pantheon articles you can expect from us, since the event was a well-spring of knowledge.
